Increase Your Visitors By Writing Articles

If you want to increase the amount of visitors to your website, start writing articles. There are many reasons why writing articles is a must for any serious webmaster or for people who want to maximise the full benefits of the internet.

How did I learn about the power of writing articles?

One evening I was searching for a few things using the search engine Google. The second search had as number one in the list of results, an article that had been written about the item I was searching for. I read the article which at the bottom had a live link to the author’s website. I duly clicked on the link to have a look at what he offered. Then it dawned on me, what a great way to get seen and attract more visitors.

I wrote an article on here about a week ago. It was called “Stuttering and its effects”. If you type those words into Google, I come up as number one, or I did as of 10/07/2005.

There are further benefits. One of which is the added backward links you obtain when other people add your article onto their website or newsletter, plus extra visitors this way.

These are the article websites I submit my articles to:

Five Tips for Overcoming Public Speaking Nerves

Your mouth is dry, heart palpitating, and knees knocking. You go into panic, facing a dreaded public speaking assignment.

It doesn’t have to be so.

These five tips will give you some strategies to overcome those symptoms and have the butterflies flying in formation.

1. Deep breathing will pull in oxygen. Adrenalin, secreted to help you deal with the fear brought on by little doubts, causes breaths to become shallow, or causes you to hold your breath. Deep breathing will help your brain work to capacity, and forcing the slower pace will quell the panic.

2. Bluff. Stand tall, with shoulders back and chest out. Smile. Even though you don’t feel happy or confident, do it anyway. You will look confident and your body will fool your brain into thinking it is confident. This really works!!
Bluff – body and smile

3. Keep you mouth and throat hydrated. Plan to keep a drink on hand while you are speaking., though this sounds impossible. Visualising how you will use it if you need it, and calling up the audacity to do such a thing will carry across to your attitude as you take your place to speak, placing your glass just where you need it to be.

4. Adrenalin sends the blood rushing to the fight/flight centres of your brain at the base of the skull. Place your hand on your forehead and press gently on the bony points. This will bring the blood to the parts of the brain that need it to present your speech best.

5. Know you are prepared. Obviously this depends on actually being prepared, so take every opportunity in the days leading up to the speech to prepare your material. Be familiar with the structure of the presentation, and the ideas to use. Memorise the most important parts, and the parts you are frightened of forgetting. I would memorise the opening of the speech and in the moments before presenting it, would reassure myself that I knew that part, and that would lead on to the rest. It worked!!

If you want to develop your speaking confidence, visit an ITC club. You will have the chance to find the strategies that work for you and perfect them. ITC offers a supportive environment and constructive evaluation for you to develop your communication skills.

Cisco CCNP Certification FAQ

To earn your CCNP, you’ve got to pass some very rigorous Cisco exams, and you also need to know the rules regarding this important certification. In this article, I’ll answer some of the most commonly asked questions regarding the CCNP.

Q: What exams do I need to pass to get my CCNP?

A: You have two options, a three-exam path and a four-exam path. Currently, the four-exam path consists of rigorous exams on advanced routing techniques (BSCI), advanced switching (BCMSN), remote access methods (BCRAN), and advanced troubleshooting techniques (CIT). The three-exam path combines the BCMSN and BSCI exams into a single exam, the Composite exam.

Q: Do I have to take them in any order?

A: No, the order is up to the candidate. Most CCNP candidates take the BSCI exam first and the CIT exam last, but again this is up to the candidate.

Q: What else do I have to do to get the CCNP?

A: You must earn your CCNA before you can be CCNP certified (as well as passing the exams, of course).

Q: Is there a recertification requirement?

A: Cisco CCNP certifications are valid for three years. During that time, you must either pass the Composite exam, the BSCI and BCMSN exams, or pass any CCIE written exam.

Q: What if I don’t recertify within the three-year period?

A: You must then meet whatever CCNP requirements there are at that time, from the beginning. It’s easier to make sure you recertify!

Becoming CCNP certified is a great boost to your career and your confidence, and as with any Cisco certification, it’s up to you to stay current with the CCNA and CCNP requirements. Visit the Career Certification section of Cisco’s website regularly to learn about the program’s requirements and changes. It’s not up to them to keep you notified of changes – it’s up to you!

Write Your Own How-To Book By Spring

Write Your Own How-To Book Before Spring!

What can you do before March 21st (the first day of spring) to make 2004 your turnaround year?

Win the lottery?

Cash in big in Las Vegas?

Get promoted to the head of your company?

OK – so these aren’t very realistic accomplishments – certainly not worth banking your future on are they?

You already know that creating your own product is one real, honest-to-goodness way people do completely change their lifestyles for the better.

What you may NOT know is that YOU can create your own high-profit How-To Book – and have it paying you by March 21st of this year (only 3 months away!)

In fact, it happened to me last year. After 15-years of climbing the corporate ladder, health problems, frustration and unhappiness – one single book changed my entire life….

IT CAN DO THE SAME FOR YOU, HERE’S HOW

Here’s the simple formula to follow that can literally change your life by March 21st of this year.

Step 1: You Can Do It – Here’s Proof

There are literally thousands of recent incredible self-publishing stories, where people tapped into a niche market, created their own high-demand “How-To” products and changed their lives forever!

Take the example of Joe Vitale who started by going the traditional publishing route, only to shocked into self- publishing by the lack of profits from even a best-selling published book.

He went on to self-publish The Seven Lost Secrets of Success and Spiritual Marketing – which went to #1 on Amazon selling over 5,000 copies in just 1 day.

Or Pati Palmer and Susan Pletsch Foster of Palmer/Pletsch publishing (http://www.palmerpletsch.com/) wrote a couple of their own books about sewing in the 1970’s selling over 900,000 copies of one, and well over 250,000 of many others.

You should have no doubt you can do it – you control how soon success will be achieved.

Step 2: Niche Markets, Hot Opportunities

Here are just 10 niche markets that have been tapped for incredible self-publishing profits with information products…

- Photography (Photography Manuals) – Horse lovers (Horse Training Videos) – Job Seekers (Finding Perfect Career) – Arthritis Sufferers (Curing Arthritis) – Entrepreneurs (How To Start Own Cleaning Business) – Home Computer Users (Securing Your Computer) – Health and Wellness (Diets, Cookbooks, Bodybuilding, etc..) – Dog Owners (Secrets of Professional Dog Trainer) – Home Buyers (Mortgage Loan Tips, Real Estate Tips, Home Inspection Tips, etc…) – Men (101 Stories of Men Popping The Question)

There are literally THOUSANDS more niche markets – each with thousands of potential products — all of this presents you with an INCREDIBLE opportunity to share in the Billions spent on information every year.

There are many ways to find hot selling niche markets – here’s just a few areas to tap…

1. Your hobbies or interests 2. Your experiences, challenges in life 3. Trends 4. Travel 5. Experts around you…

You’ll find over 40 detailed techniques on finding niche markets and turning them into high-profit infoproducts right here:

http://www.infoproductcreator.com?bsart

MOST important is that you a) pick a niche market to target and b) you understand their high-demand wants and needs so you can put your information in front of a demand tornado.

3. Questions, Questions, Questions – Answers, Answers, Answers

There are different formulas for writing How-To books, but by far the simplest and most effective is to organize your book to address…

a) One main overriding desire or goal your target market wants VERY badly. b) Answer a series of questions that step your reader through achieving that desire or goal in a simple, step-by-step format as possible.

So – what that means for you is that 90% of writing your book is getting the right questions in the right order to lead your reader toward their goal.

So – Chapter 1 solves “X” problem, and here’s the 10 questions your customers will need answers to on the way.

Chapter 2 solves “Y” problem, and here’s the 10 questions your customers will need to answer along the way…And so on.

Of course, you can answer questions in many ways..

You can just plainly write the answer.

You can tell a story to illustrate the answer.

You can quote the answer from research.

You can give an analogy or use humor to illustrate the answer.

You can provide visual examples, screenshots, pictures, video, audio, etc…

Whatever the technique – the secret to writing books is to maintain one central focus, and lay out steps to achieving the end goal.

Step 4. How To Get Others To Finish Your Book

You may be concerned about giving people an early look at your idea, concepts and work.

Yes, you need to be careful WHO you ask for feedback, but you cannot let this stop you from testing your work.

Who should you get to test your work?

1. Represenative customers – not your friends, family – but real people in your target market.

2. Experts in your field

3. Other writers, publishers, marketers that operate in your target market but that don’t directly compete with you.

Strike up relationships, offer them free coverage in your book, on your website, a percentage of the profits in a future joint venture marketing effort in exchange for reviews, feedback and opinion.

You may very well get 1 or 2 ideas from these tests that makes a huge increase in the popularity of your products.

Test your title, content, pricing, positioning, format, key messages.

Test it all – it will make your product better for it.

STEP 5. Your Own Massive Launch

If you set March 21st as your launch date – make sure you have a complete website, compelling copy, at least 6-10 joint venture partners setup, Press Releases ready, an affiliate tracking program in place, a back-end selling system and be ready to HIT YOUR MARKET HARD!

If you could change your entire life, set the foundation to walk away from a stale, boring lifestyle and gain the control over our time, creative energy and finances that we all so badly want, wouldn’t that be worth following these 4 steps?

The Forum Phantasm Method Of Writing

Having trouble writing? You may need to shift your writing mind to a different mode.

Whatever you’re writing, whether a chapter in a book, a blog entry, or a new article, transmute that piece of writing into a forum response… at least while you’re writing it.

You don’t actually have to post it on a forum, just think of it as an off-the-cuff reply to a forum participant. Take these steps…

SHRINK YOUR TEXT AREA

First off, are you using a full screen word processing page to write? Then here’s a trick that just might kick your writing into high gear…shrink that full screen page down to something less intimidating.

Here’s why…even though you have trouble filling a full page, I’ll bet you don’t have any problems with responding to a discussion forum post.

What’s the deal? For one, since you have a smaller text entry area, you’re absorbed with the thought at hand. When you have a big space to fill, you worry about what you’ve already written, what you’re writing now, and what you think you should write next.

The small entry space of a forum allows you to lose yourself and your writing in the current moment, since that’s really all you can see.

WRITE IN FORUM MODE

And think of yourself as responding to an actual forum member. If you approach a blank page with a formal task mindset, that’s when the stage-fright and intimidation sets in. But if you can imagine you’re answering a real flesh and blood person’s questions…someone who needs an answer right now…then you’ll be more apt to knock out that article, podcast, or blog entry.

ASK QUESTIONS

And speaking of questions, another thing you can do is…ask questions. To get the feel of a forum response, you can turn your topic into a question and then answer it.

One question probably won’t be enough, so take your article outline and turn each topic sentence into a question and answer them one by one.

VISIT FORUMS AND HUNT FOR MORE QUESTIONS

And finally, here’s a great way you can get into the forum mindset…visit your favorite forums and look at the questions people are asking. This is a good research exercise that will connect you with actual concerns held by your audience. Doing this will also give you insight into your audience’s emotional hot buttons. And you can be sure, if one or two people are asking a question, it’s also on a lot of other people’s minds.

If these tips work for you, then just maybe you’ll find yourself writing more frequently and with greater impact than before.

Airplane Eating

Just because you are on airplane does not mean that life stops for the baby. The baby does know that its on airplane, and the baby does not particularly care, and neither should you. There are lots of things that you can to keep the baby busy and fuss free. Lets start with feeding. If You need some hot water or something for the baby, the flight attendant will be more than happy to do whatever you need. Remember that nobody wants to upset the baby. The easiest way to feed the baby is with a bottle of milk. Even if the baby is a breastfed one, you should consider pumping some milk, and have some for the ride.Breast-fedbabies are happier and healthier. The security will let you take breast milk on the plane. Just be sure that if you use formula, that you tell the security officers that you have some powdered milk in a baggie. You don’t want them to think that are caring some mysterious white powder on the plane. Which is what no one wants so do be sure to check a head of time what thesecurityprotocol is in regard to essential baby items. It will make everyone’s day better.

Extramarital Affairs: What Everyone Needs to Know… and what you can do to help

Recent statistics suggest that 40% of women (and that number is increasing) and 60% of men at one point indulge in extramarital affairs. Put those numbers together and it is estimated that 80% of the marriages will have one spouse at one point or another involved in marital infidelity.

That may seem like a very steep number. However after two decades plus of full time work as a marriage and family therapist, I don’t believe that number is off the charts. I worked with a great number of people involved in infidelity who were never discovered.

The possibility that someone close to you is or soon will be involved in an extramarital affair (any of the three parties) is extremely high.

Maybe you will know. You will see telltale signs. You will notice changes in the person’s habits and behavioral patterns as well as a detachment, lack of focus and reduced productivity. Maybe you will sense something “out of character” but be unable to pinpoint what it is.

It is not a given that he/she will tell you. Those hiding the affair will continue to hide. The “victim” of the extramarital affair often, at least initially, is racked with anger, hurt, embarrassment and thoughts of failing that preclude divulging the crisis.

It might be important to confront the person with your observations, depending on the status of your relationship with the person.

It is important to understand that extramarital affairs are different and serve different purposes.

Out of my study and experience with hundreds of couples I’ve identified 7 different kinds of infidelity.

Briefly, some extramarital affairs are reactivity to a perceived lack of intimacy in the marriage. Others arise out of addictive tendencies or a history of sexual confusion or trauma.

Some in our culture play out issues of entitlement and power by becoming “trophy chasers.” This “boys will be boys” mentality is subtly encouraged in some contexts. Some become involved in marital infidelity because of a high need for drama and excitement and are enthralled with the idea of “being in love” and having that “loving feeling.”

An extramarital affair might be for revenge either because the spouse did or did not do something. Or the revenge may stem from rage. Although revenge is the motive for both, they look and feel very different.

Another form of infidelity serves the purpose of affirming personal desirability. A nagging question of being “OK” may lead to usually a short-term and one-person affair. And finally, some affairs are a dance that attempts to balance needs for distance and intimacy in the marriage, often with collusion from the spouse.

The prognosis for survivability of the marriage is different for each. Some affairs are the best thing that happens to a marriage. Others serve a death knell. As well, different extramarital affairs demand different strategies on the part of the spouse or others. Some demand toughness and movement. Others demand patience and understanding.

The emotional impact of the discovery of infidelity is usually profound. Days and weeks of sleeplessness, rumination, fantasies (many sexual) and unproductivity follow. It typically takes 2 – 4 years to “work through” the implications. A good coach or therapist can accelerate and mollify the process. I don’t recommend “marriage” counseling, at least initially.

The devastating emotional impact results from a couple powerful dynamics. Trust is shattered – of one’s ability to discern the truth. The most important step is NOT to learn to trust the other person, but to learn to trust one’s self. Another is the power that a secret plays in relationships. THE secret exacts an emotional and sometimes physical toll that needs to be acknowledged and dealt with.

How can you help?

Those in the midst of their affair crisis told me they need this from you:

1. Sometimes I want to vent, get it out without censor. I know sometimes I will say what I shouldn’t be saying. It may not be nice, pretty or mild. Please know that I know better, but I need to get it off my chest.

2. Every so often I want to hear something like, “This too shall pass.” Remind me that this is not forever.

3. I want to be validated. I want to know that I am OK. You can best do that by nodding acceptance when I talk about the pain or confusion.

4. I want to hear sometimes, “What are you learning? What are you doing to take care of yourself?” I may need that little jolt that moves me beyond my pain to see the larger picture.

5. I may want space. I may want you to be quiet and patient as I attempt to sort through and express my thoughts and feelings. Give me some time to stammer, stutter and stumble my way through this.

6. I want someone to point out some new options or different roads that I might take. But before you do this, make sure I am first heard and validated.

7. When they pop into your mind, recommend books or other resources that you think I might find helpful.

8. I want to hear every so often, “How’s it going?” And, I may want this to be more than an informal greeting. Give me time and space to let you know exactly how it IS going.

9. I want you to understand and welcome the ambivalent feelings and desires. I would like you to be fairly comfortable with the gray areas and the contradictions about how I feel and what I may want.

10. I want you to be predictable. I want to be able to count on you to be there, listen and speak consistently or let me know when you are unable to do that. I will honor that.

Extramarital affairs are powerful. Affairs are costly. They affect family, friends, colleagues and employers. Infidelity is also an opportunity – to redesign one’s life and love relationships in ways that create honor, joy and true intimacy.

Writing about ‘writing’.

Writing about ‘Writing’!

By Liana Metal

What am I going to write about? Which topic is the best? Who is going to be interested in my article?

You can ask yourself endless questions on ‘what’ is going to be the subject of your article. Don’t despair! This is not a problem . Any topic will do, and a lot of people will read your article as far as you pay attention to the top rule of the internet: Give away information.

This is the reason why people read articles, and that’s why you are reading this article in the first place! Think for a moment: Why am I reading this article? Of course, you might say it’s out of curiosity, but the most popular answer would be: To get informed in this field.

The best way to start writing straightaway is to think of an experience of yours. It could be any experience, good or bad, on any subject. I have started my writing career by writing about ‘writing’. Sounds funny? It may be , but it has helped me sort out a lot of ‘writing’ related issues and find my way through them. Before starting writing articles for the web though, I read a lot. I practically read anything I came across online , from ads to news items, and from book reviews to ebooks. I became a reviewer to get into the ‘things’ faster, and I joined a lot of online communities as well. Then I started writing How-to articles.

One of my first ones focused on the Cover Letter, how to write a smashing letter fast and easily and then send it off to an editor/publisher. You can read this article for free at my site, http://lianametal.tripod.com , or http://liamet.tripod.com. In a short time I had produced a lot of articles on ‘writing’ , and then I came across the ‘ebook’ device. I said: Why not? It’s free and now I can try to create my own ebook. So, I did and that was just the beginning. But, creating ebooks is another story. If you are interested in ebooks, all the instructions are included in my first ebook , Writing Basics, along with a lot of useful tips and information on writing, as well as markets to submit your work to.

You can get Writing Basics from my site at: http://liamet.tripod.com If you are a new writer or new with the internet as a means of getting published online, you should read it. In Writing Basics I wrote down my own experiences on writing , but there are also other writers’ articles included ,as well as interviews that will help you in your writing career.

The odd thing is that a few years ago I did not even know how to operate a computer, and now I am creating e books! Isn’t it amazing? And know what? Publishers want books about writing , and articles about writing are always very popular. So, why not give it a try yourself?
