Paying Attention to Foreign Currency Fluctuations

Currency trading is fast becoming one of the most prominent economic sectors in today’s ever-connected world. With countries buying and selling, foreign currency nowadays has a good worth on the global marketplace and there are even a good number of souls who decide to make it their profession to acquire foreign currency.

Have you ever heard of foreign currency trading? Not unlike stocks trading, currency trading is the acquiring & selling of currency positions & people will often make money for the simple reason that distinct currencies have different positions on the world market place. Quite obviously, if you are unfortunate enough to be trading in United States dollars, then you might not note the difference, but this specific business works at its very best if you opt to exchanging, say, Belarus Rubles with Mongolia Tugriks. Currency exchanges don’t have to be difficult – talk to Foreign Currency Direct and see how easy they can be.

Currency trading also has a lot to do with trading of commodities. Firms which export their services overseas, are paid foreign currency, which, understandably, they might well not be permitted to spend in their home country, so they get their currency exchanged. Ignoring this, the prices on the world wide forum are determined by currency exchange, and so individuals could lose profit if their country’s currency currently has a weak position when compared to the stronger currencies, such as the United States dollar and Euro.

Foreign currency exchange is critically important throughout travel. Quite patently, if you skip over to Europe, then you very much need to have a little currency exchanged to Euros thus you might well purchase even more goods and services. Of course, the United States dollar is changeable nearly anywhere in the world, but there are some places where they obviously need the exact amount in payment for good and services. Buying goods and services with American dollars when you are in foreign lands will often just cause trouble for other people for the simple reason that they too, will very much need to get the money exchanged. This is the rational, why nearly all airports already enjoy foreign currency exchange centers therefore, consequently you won’t find it necessary to scour round the land scanning for establishments or entrepreneurs who buy foreign currency. Of course, there are also on line websites, which acquire foreign currency, so you could get your money exchanged on the Internet and also withdraw any of it in local currency wherever you are located on the world.

Where Can I Publish My Book?

“If you write without getting published, then there is no use in writing at all.” Those are words of wisdom from someone who wants you to seriously consider publishing your book.

But before you really do so, you will do well to consider these questions:

1.Have I actually written a best – seller?

2. Do I believe that people will read my book?

3. Is my theme such a timely one that the public should know?

4. Am I expecting responses from my readers?

5. Will I benefit in one way or the other from the publication of this book?

6. Will I be contented even if I don’t make money?

If you answer in the affirmative to one or more of the above questions, then do not hesitate to listen to the above advice to publish.

It will, therefore, be nice for you to know different publishing channels available, so as to enable you make an informed decision.

Trade Publishers

Also called commercial publishers, these are the big fish in the publishing industry. They include Longman, Macmillan, Heinemann, Random House, Houghton Mifflin, Doubleday Books, Little Brown and Co., and Brace Jovanovich, among others. They publish without asking for payment from authors.

My advice to you is that if you are pre – published, if you are a new writer, do not waste your time submitting your books to these elephants. Because they will not publish you!

Yes, they have published a few unknowns like Eric Segal (LOVE STORY) and Kathleen Winsor (FOREVER AMBER) But what about the countless others who got the polite rejection slip: “We are sorry your book does not meet our present needs. Good luck.”

I am among that number. I got a rejection slip from one of them, one year after submission! Can you imagine that? Twelve calendar months! And in the end, you would have to pray to the god of good luck, to get a publisher. And after another one year, another rejection slip. Another prayer. So you would have to spend a lifetime looking for a publisher, after months or years of hard work, writing your book.

The point is that they don’t have the time to read your book. Or they can’t recognize a good book if they see one. Or, they can’t afford to risk their money publishing a new comer like you, without hope of getting huge profits. Or, all of the above.

But consider: If you were a great writer, perhaps a Nobel Laureate who had written a magnum opus. Or, if you were some celebrated politician with a memoir about your dalliance with some red – lipped prostitutes.

Or, if as a scientist, you had written a book about how time travels backwards, titled THE THEORY OF BACKWARD MOVEMENT. And you even promise to take your readers in a space ship to witness some epochal events — pick your choice — the fall of Carthage, (history), the splitting of the continents (geography), Noah’s flood (religion), and the real thing — the Big Bang (Science). Do you know how the publishers would react?

All of them, the above ones I have mentioned, and others not named, would rush to dangle certified Bank checks with ten digit figures before your smiling face! But try sending your unsolicited manuscript, you unknown writer; and be damned!

Let’s illustrate this point further. Do you know Jerzy Kosinski’s THE THIRTY – NINE STEPS? Yes, one writer had that best – seller typed, and submitted, as a manuscript by a new writer, and waited for an answer. And what reply did he get? All the trade publishers rejected it. All the agents told him, “no way’”. And to worst the experiment, Random House which originally published the book, threw it out as an insignificant book. Yet, this was a National Book Award Winner.
Even, some other best- sellers were “randomly” rejected. Like THE JUNGLE by Upton Sinclair. Like Thomas Paine’s COMMON SENSE. Like MAGNIFICENT OBSESSION by Lloyd C. Douglas. Do you now understand what I mean when I say you should not go to them? But you have another chance.

Subsidy Publishers

Also known as private or commission publishers, subsidy publishers are a better choice; if you can pay to get your book published. And they pay higher commission or royalties, than the trade publishers. They include Vantage Press, Minerva Press and Avon Books.
Now, paying for book publication has a long history. Many great writers started that way. Edward Fitzgerald financed the publication of his monumental work, THE RUBAIYAT OF OMAR KHAYYAM. Thomas Gray paid to publish his classic, ELEGY. And what about Edgar Allan Poe? He sponsored the printing of the book of all times, TAMERLANE AND OTHER POEMS. And Leo Tolstoy doled out money to pay for the publication of the best novel on earth, WAR AND PEACE.

The list has not ended. What about Thomas Hardy, Alexander Pope, T.S.Eliot, Alfred Lord Tennyson and many others? They did likewise. Why not submit your book to one of these subsidy publishers now?

But suppose they don’t appeal to you. You have another choice.

Self Publishing

Yes, you may decide to do it yourself. Print and publish your work. Go round, promote and distribute your book. Become your own manager, accountant and clerk. And more!

Then ask yourself: How far can I go? Do I have the time? Do I have the experience? Can I bear the health and physical risks?

Well, it is up to you to decide. And remember what Hippocrates said: “Ars Longa: Vita brevis — Arts is long, but life is short.”

If none of the above appeals to you, you are not to tuck away your precious manuscript in the attic. And go bungee jumping! Life after all, “is not a roller coaster” someone says. So, why not try the exciting world of Internet Publishing.

Internet Publishing

Did I say exciting? Yes, of course. The world had been dragging until some whiz kids got their magic boxes together and said: “Let the computers be connected!” And there came the Internet. And the dot com bomb. So, at the touch of the button, you have the world at your feet. Isn’t that exciting?

You, the writer has so much to gain from the Internet. You can do your research there, read all kinds of books, and do the ultimate — publish on the Internet.

I am not going to do a dissertation here because I do not know so much about the subject (pardon my ignorance.) I even understand that there is going to be a “new” kind of Internet, soon (pity me.)

The first thing I will tell you though, is that dragons live there. The second is that many dot com companies are closing shop. And the third is that there is no hidden secret to success in the net than hard work, as in real life. (Is Internet not real?) The fourth is that the Internet is your shortcut to success. Do you want to find out? Why not visit the experts as you read on.

Two publishing opportunities are open to you on the Internet.
What are they? you may ask.

E- BOOK PUBLISHERS

Just as you have the traditional publishers, so you have the electronic or e- book publishers. But be careful! Many of them out there don’t know what they are doing. And remember, you are going to do business with someone you don’t see. So you will have to ascertain the credibility of your publisher.

These are the categories of E- book publishers I have observed from my own personal experience. Which is your preference?

1. Targeted Publishers

These ones publish selected books targeted for special audience. They publish How-To’s, books on Business planning, web site, search engines, Net Etiquette, humor and others. If your book is on these subject matters you are free to submit.

2. Submit, ready to sell.

These publishers would want you to submit your formatted E- book ready to sell. But the manuscript would previously have been submitted for approval. And you would not be asked to make any financial commitment in this case. If this appeals to you, submit.

3. General Publishers

Submit your finished manuscript of any genre to these E- book publishers. Pay for the publication and go to bed. They will handle everything from formatting to publishing and promotion. Your book will even be available as an E- book or Rocket E – book, paperback book and audio book and in several, other forms (as you may desire.) Interested? Then submit!

PRINT-ON-DEMAND PUBLISHING

Your book can now be published in paper back or hard cover and be made available to be ordered online anywhere. This technology is known as print-on-demand (POD). The copies are as good as the ones from the traditional printing houses. And there are no unsold copies.

For a list of publishers, simply search the following on the Web:

Trade publishers

Subsidy publishers

E-book publishers

Print-on-demand publishers

But if these do not appeal to you, and you have the training and computer experience, you may play Stephen Kingpublish yourself!

A Guide to Hiring Wedding Professionals

One of the most challenging things about getting married is finding and hiring the wedding vendors. However large or small their roles may be, they will have a significant impact in the overall outcome of your wedding day. Because of this, it is imperative to take your time and follow some very simple steps to ensure you are hiring quality and reputable wedding professionals that you can trust.

As you will soon discover, there is really no shortage of wedding vendors in any given category. The goal is finding the professional that is right for you, not only with product, service and price, but with personality as well. The search for wedding day vendors can begin in a number of places. Knowing where to look and what to look for will assist you in your search. The following are suggestions as to where you may begin the search for your vendors.

Bridal Shows

The greatest value in bridal shows is the opportunity to meet with a large number of wedding vendors and view many products at one time, in one location. There are many categories of vendors represented at the shows, making it an invaluable tool for doing research and for gathering wedding-related information. When you find vendors you particularly interested in, make a note of it and call soon after the show to book a personal one on one appointment.

Ceremony and Reception Location

The locations you select for your wedding day are quite familiar with particular vendors, and usually have a preferred vendor list. The vendors on this list have worked at that site many times before and are familiar with the logistics and rules of the location.

Friends and Family

You will usually get honest no nonsense answers and opinions regarding products and services when you ask married friends and family members (even co-workers) about their own weddings. Ask them about their vendors, the services they used, what they liked and didn’t like, would they hire them again, etc.?

The Internet

The Internet is an easy access, easy to use, anytime resource. You can find a wealth of vendors on the web. Checking out a vendor’s web site can give you a good idea of pricing, packages, and type of work they do before making a personal appointment.

Local Bridal Magazines

Using local wedding magazines and directories can at first seem overwhelming, as there are a large number of advertisements in these publications. You can, however, find excellent vendors in the magazines, but it will take some calling around to acquaint yourself with these vendors.

Wedding Planners/Consultants

Wedding consultants have several pre-established relationships with local vendors. If you are working with a consultant, she should be able to provide you with preferred vendor list. However, if you are not working with a consultant, you can still benefit from this knowledge, as most consultants will share their preferred vendor list with you for a fee.

Conclusion

Once you have made your final decisions, you must get a written contract. Call the vendor to confirm the details and ask for a contract to be sent to you. A contract is the best way of ensuring you and the vendor understand what is expected, as it should outline specifics such as dates, times, names, and types of services/products provided. It will also spell out payment plans, refund and cancellation policies. It behooves you to read and understand the contract. Do not assume you have secured a vendor for your wedding day until you have a contract that is signed by you and the vendor. And finally remember, part of getting the most from a vendor’s service is also being a good client and providing the vendors with the payments and other requested information in a timely manner.

Wedding Gifts

A wedding is a ceremony to celebrate the union of two hearts in an eternal bond of love. The words marriage and wedding are synonymous, and signify the fusion of two souls. The word wedding, however, radiates a different feeling. A marriage becomes a wedding when, along with the emotional and sacred overtones, the occasion is commemorated by merrymaking and the environment is charged with revelry. Weddings are therefore occasions where the invited parties (mainly the near and dear ones) come together to express their love and joy for the bride and the groom.

Wedding gifts are given as a token of that love and support. The purpose of wedding gifts is to communicate happiness at the union in a perceptible physical form to newlyweds, and delight in their exhilaration. Traditionally, gift giving was a way to help the newlyweds set up their new household.

The value of a gift should never be judged in monetary terms. A wedding gift should reflect the thought behind it. The belief that the value of a wedding gift should at least be equivalent to the money expended per person at a party is a gross misnomer. In a monetary sense, the kind of relation a guest shares with the couple is a determinant of the gift value. All the same, a handmade gift like a scrapbook ranks high in personal value, although it has little monetary value.

There are various rules of wedding gift-giving etiquette which should be followed. All invited guests who attend the wedding should bring gifts. While giving gifts, one should ideally keep the couple’s individual taste in mind. Giving away a golf set to one interested only in active sports is a thoughtless gift and erodes the very purpose of the tradition.

A gift should always be packed carefully and tastefully, and labeled with a handwritten note bearing the giver’s name. A gift can be also sent to the couple’s new house or to the parents who are hosting the wedding beforehand. This is convenient for the couple, as they don’t have to keep track of the gifts during the function, or worry about the transportation of gifts after the function. In some cultures, a guest is supposed to carry the gift to the wedding reception. More recently, invitees have the option of getting gifts from the bridal registries that a lot of couples register for.

There are different categories of gift giving. Gift exchanges among the newlyweds, gifts given by parents to the bride and bridegroom, and thank-you gifts for guests are the other categories of gift giving. Personalized gifts, handmade and creative gifts, classic gifts, gift certificates and wedding mementos are all suitable gifts, and the gift market, both online and offline, is full of ideas.

How to Choose the Right Flooring

There are various things which need to be thought about when selecting what kind of

href="http://www.yourfloors.co.uk">flooring to get fitted. Getting new flooring put in in your

home can breathe new life into it and can be a great way to reinvigorate your living environment. It

may not be as expensive as you think either.

A big consideration on what flooring to choose is the function of the room it will go in. Flooring

which makes sense for the dining room may not be suitable for the bathroom for example. Some of the

most popular types of flooring are carpet, vinyl, wood, and laminate.

Laminate flooring can be a great alternative to wooden flooring if you are looking to achieve a wood

effect floor at a lower cost. Laminate flooring is made from a sheet of MDF with a wood-effect

plastic surface fixed to it. The downside of laminate flooring is that whilst it is resistant to

sctratches once it is damaged it is impossible to repair. Apart from that it can still be a perfect

choice for a kitchen, where the plastic coating provides an easy to clean surface. Conversely solid

wood flooring would not be a good idea in a bathroom, or indeed any room which is likely to get very

wet. Some woods such as beech are particularly vulnerable to moisture.

If you are looking to install a wooden floor, its important you have the right surface to fit it

on. Ideally your existing floor needs to be flat, and dry. There are options however to counter

uneven flooring issues, such as laying ply throughout, or employing an underlay to create a

floating floor.

Often laminate flooring is sold as a product you can install without help which is a great way of

keeping costs to a minimum. Solid wood flooring requires however a higher degree of DIY competence,

so it can sometimes be advisable to get solid wooden floors fitted professionally which on the

downside can add a considerable cost.

Something many people do not realise when they measure their room to calculate how much flooring

they will need ” is that it is crucial to include a 10mm gap around the edge of the room for the

wooden flooring to expand and contract.

As an integral part of any interior design strategy, it is vital to choose the correct flooring.

Whilst wooden or laminate floors can be ideal ” often for a more chic minimalist look; carpet can be

a better option if you are trying to achieve a more traditional home feel. The important thing is

you take into account the various factors you need to consider before ordering new flooring.

Floral Options For Your Wedding

Choosing a Florist
Start the process of choosing a florist by looking online for example works, attending bridal shows and by asking friends and family for referrals. If the flowers at a recent wedding were particularly exquisite, ask the bride which florist she used. Once a list of several has been formed, make an appointment with each to sit down and talk about options and to view photos of past arrangements and weddings. The first appointment will usually take an hour or so.

Before keeping that appointment, assemble some items that will help the florist to help you. First, work out a general budget for your wedding flowers. Ask yourself questions like:
• How many bridesmaids and groomsmen will there be?
• Who outside the bridal party will receive flowers to wear?
• Will the florist decorate the pew ends or the altar in the church?
• Will flowers be required for the wedding cake?
• Will the florist decorate the reception site, including the head table and other tables?

In addition to budget information, your florist will need you to bring such helpful items as photos or magazine clippings of flower arrangements you like, a photo of your wedding dress so she can match the style of the flowers with it and a fabric swatch from your bridesmaids’ dresses for color comparison.

Cost
The cost of wedding flowers can vary widely depending on several factors. Exotic out-of-season flowers will, of course, cost far more than locally-grown and easily obtained in-season flowers. Upscale, cutting-edge floral designers will most likely be more expensive than a more traditional florist. Bouquets rich in certain flowers and light on greenery will certainly make a dent in your pocketbook. Though the conveniences of having a florist decorate the church and reception site can be more costly, it is usually worth the amount of stress it will relieve and provides beautiful end results!

The average cost of wedding flowers lies somewhere in the $800 to $6,000 range for most medium size weddings. Some brides avoid some of this cost by arranging the flowers themselves, but this can be a stressful and tricky operation. If considering this option, remember that the flowers will have to be prepared either the day before or the day of the wedding and will need to be refrigerated. Someone will have to transport them to and distribute them at the church. Is the added responsibility worth the money saved? Only the bride herself can answer that question.

Bouquets & Such
Color saturation is the watchword for today’s bridal bouquets, according to local florists. They say that blue is still a very trendy color for flowers, especially when paired with purple or a periwinkle color. Subdued colors such as taupe tinged with pink are edging their way into bouquets everywhere, too. These colors go well with the taupe and pewter dresses worn by today’s bridesmaids.

As for bouquet shapes, they say that ’simple elegance’ are the first words out of every bride’s mouth. Many brides today seek out a pavé arrangement, which is a tight cluster of blossoms. Such bouquets might consist of a single type of flower in the same or related colors or it might include several different varieties of flowers. These arrangements have very few, if any, greens, which can make them costly. This is a very balanced, geometric look made popular in recent years.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, the European hand-tied bouquet retains its favor with brides everywhere. This arrangement has a fresh, natural appeal and can include a diverse selection of flowers. Most often, these bouquets have a casual simplicity that many brides find particularly appealing.

What flowers do brides choose to include in their bouquets? Romantic roses, as always, top the list. Brides also choose fresh lavender, sages and other herbs. Berries, Lisianthus (also known as the false rose) and hydrangeas make regular appearances, too. Silk flowers remain popular, especially top-of-the-line silks, that can hardly be differentiated from fresh. Some brides even include delicate silk fruits in their bouquets.

To set off the simple look of today’s flower arrangements, whether formal or natural, florists employ different styles of rich-looking ribbon. Satin ribbon might wrap around a bouquet’s stems to hide them and to ensure unstained, unpricked hands. Wide satin ribbon in silk gives a lush simplicity when tied in a simple bow. Sheer ribbons add a fairy-tale feel to a tight cluster of elegant blooms. Ribbon colors range from deep cocoas to pearly white.

Today’s boutonnires also have a new look, pared down and simple, often with a satin ribbon to accompany them. And like the pavé bouquets, boutonnires often forego the greenery to achieve a single-minded elegance.

Floral Decor
That elegant simplicity has changed the way churches are decorated for weddings, too. A lot of brides are doing more at the reception than they used to. The church look is simpler the (decorating) money is spent at the reception. That means receptions have blossomed. There, topiaries and wheat sheaves decorate tables with elegance. Again, pavé clusters of single or several flowers adorn tables like jewels.

Preserving the Flowers
With all the effort, time and money that go into the wedding flowers, one final detail that is often overlooked is preserving them. For centuries brides have discarded or left their bouquets to dry and shrivel away. Now brides can keep their bouquets with the latest technologies in flower preservation. The process of flower preservation is incredibly involved and time consuming if done correctly. Floral preservationists know how to handle each flower to provide you with the most “life like” look possible. Keep in mind plans must be made in advance if floral preservation is desired. Consult a floral preservationist at least two months prior to the wedding to arrange to have the flowers shipped, delivered, or picked up immediately after the wedding while they are still fresh. Preserved flowers are attractive accents for any home. Special display pieces can be made using the flowers and other wedding keepsakes. Just as the wedding gown, photographs and other sentimental memorabilia can be a reminder; bridal flowers too can bring a lifetime of enjoyment!

Wedding Gift Registry – Keeping Track So You Can Prevent Duplication

When deciding for a wedding gift and you do not want to leave your home or you would rather browse the possibilities first, check wedding gift registries online. If not, most stores have them.

Almost all stores allow couples to open their registry up to 16 months before the wedding and a year forward to allow guests options to buy their first anniversary presents. All that one has to do is visit a preferred store and check out its registry department. Check out the store return policy in case you would need a replacement. Keep in mind that stores do not usually issue cash refunds only store credit. It may be a wise idea to bring your fiancé along so both of you can decide on the things that you would need.

Here are a few tips that could help you in opening up a wedding registry.

First, keep in mind that opening up registries can be fun both for you and your groom so do not rush. Wear comfortable shoes and shop around. Opening up wedding registries does not have to be done in a day. Prolong the event if you like. The fun memories you and your husband can share today will give you good memories later in your marriage.

Aside from the return policy of the store, find out how easy it would be for you to exchange items with them later on.

Important questions to consider before you sign up.

How do they update their wedding registry and how often? How long will your wedding registry stay in their records list?

Does the store have a toll free phone number with quality customer service? Do they accept orders by phone and do they make deliveries?

Do they have a website for you to keep track of the gift registry?

Opening up wedding registries will allow family and friends to choose their presents from the choices in your registry. The information that the couple has in their wedding registry can provide the guests with information that will prevent duplication of wedding gifts – that is at least the idea.

Couples about to be married would more likely need the basic things to start a home. Opening up a wedding registry in stores would tell your guests your preferred items. Mostly this would include china, cooking utensils, silver ware, crystals and drinking glasses, linen, home improvement items and accessories. However, to give the guests a wider latitude of things to choose from, it is perfectly okay to register for the more non-traditional gifts like golf clubs (if the groom is into golf), music instruments, and household appliances. If the couple needs to splurge on other items that are more expensive, than that is perfectly all right. Provided the couple does not go overboard. A plasma television for example might be cool, but it could also drive some guests to another store that you are not registered.

Couples that has been living together for a while would already have those basics. It becomes more important then to open a wedding registry so guests are informed of the things that you still need again to avoid duplication. If you do not need another blender, then do not register for it. You might be needing other things like a vacation, a honeymoon getaway, dinner reservation for the weekend, shares of stocks, house cleaning services, mortgage payments, garden supplies, wines and upgrades in your appliances and upgrades even on the more traditional wedding gifts.

The store in which you register will largely depend on your needs. Many stores have in their line almost everything that a starting couple will need at budget prices while Hect’s or Macy’s have a good line of the more expensive items. But most stores have wedding registries that you can make a list to communicate and keep track of your wedding presents.

Tired of Marriage? Start Dating

When the romance has trickled out of your marriage and each day seems to blend in to the next, try these easy ways to re-energize your marriage and your love life.

Start by thinking back to your dating days. If dating was fun, but marriage has become routine-start dating again. Of course, I mean start dating your spouse. Think of him as your lifetime date. Do all the fun things you did when you were deciding whether to marry him. What did you do for fun? Did you play sports, go out to dinner, or go shopping? Make dating your spouse a priority. Fit these activities back into your schedule.

Plan a date night for once a week. If you don’t have any kids, your schedules are probably pretty full. Schedule date night in advance, the same as you would for any other social or professional meeting. If you do have children, hire a babysitter to come over on the same night every week. This will save you from having to find a babysitter every time you want to go out. And, it will strengthen your commitment to date night. For example, plan to have the sitter come over every Thursday, but tell her not to call before arriving. This puts the burden on you to cancel and removes one of your excuses for not keeping the date. By planning ahead, very little effort is involved in the preparation of date night. This makes it much more likely you will get out of the house and keep the promise you made to each other.

When you go out for your date, do something that renews your bond. Watching a movie or going to a concert may be fun, but they don’t give you the opportunity to talk to one another. If you decide to see a movie, follow it up with dessert or coffee. There’s value in just sitting alone together, face to face, and talking.

Your date night should be all about you and your partner so don’t invite friends or family. And definitely leave the kids at home! Allow yourselves enough time to make a night of it. If you schedule only an hour or two out of the house, you will be limited to doing the same thing every date night. Opening up the evening allows you to try new things and decreases the stress of having a curfew.

Since you’ll be dating about three or four times a month, make sure to try new things. Go out to dinner at a new restaurant, go out for coffee, play a board game, go dancing, go for a picnic, go for a bike ride or a swim. The possibilities are limited only by your imaginations. If you get stuck for ideas, try this: each person sets the agenda for alternate date nights. For example, your husband plans the next date night. He makes all the decisions about what, where, when. But, he doesn’t tell you. You get to wonder all week what the date will be. And then on date night, let him be your Master of Ceremonies. You don’t get to complain or criticize-just go with the flow. The following week, it’s your turn. This keeps some surprise and excitement in the dates because even weekly date nights can get routine.

What you do on date nights is not important. What is important is that you are together. Bonding, reconnecting, sharing. And reliving for just a few hours each week, those happy times when you were single but wanted to spend the rest of your life with this person. Well now it is the rest of your life. Keep the romance alive; keep the fun alive. Make your marriage a lifelong date.

Article on Snakes

Imagine the next time you join a discussion about Snakes. When you start sharing the fascinating Snakes facts below, your friends will be absolutely amazed.

A snake is an elongate reptile of the suborder Serpentes. Like all reptiles, snakes are ectothermic and covered in scales. All snakes are carnivorous and can be distinguished from legless lizards by their lack of eyelids, hind limbs, external ears, and the presence of only vestigial forelimbs. The 2,700+ species of snakes spread across every continent except Antarctica ranging in size from the tiny, 10 cm long thread snake to pythons and anacondas at 9 m (30 ft) long. In order to accommodate snakes’ narrow bodies, paired organs (such as kidneys) appear one in front of the other instead of side by side.

Snakes

While venomous snakes comprise a minority of the species, some possess potent venom capable of causing painful injury or death to humans. However, venom in snakes is primarily for killing and subduing prey rather than for self-defense. Snakes may have evolved from a lizard which adapted to burrowing during the Cretaceous period (c 150 Ma), though some scientists have postulated an aquatic origin. The diversity of modern snakes appeared during the Paleocene period (c 66 to 56 Ma).

Now that we’ve covered those aspects of Snakes, let’s turn to some of the other factors that need to be considered.

A literary word for snake is serpent (a Middle English word which comes from Old French, and ultimately from *serp-, “to creep”[1], also ερπω in Greek). The serpent is also a symbol of the healing arts.

Knowing enough about Snakes to make solid, informed choices cuts down on the fear factor. If you apply what you’ve just learned about Snakes, you should have nothing to worry about.

The Latter Day Saints, Saints or Sinners?

A commentary.

This is my personal view of many types of Misunderstandings about God, Jesus and The Holy Bible. This is the first of a series of Churches teaching False Doctrine.
Many Scriptures are so misunderstood and taught, that many still have a difficulty in knowing what, if anything, to believe in. This is just a short comparison of the Bible and the teachings of the Latter Day Saints.
My intent is to just show the difference.
2Jo 1:9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. Doctrine; “Instruction and confirmation in the truths of the gospel.”
The Book of Mormon is a doctrine, because it is taught as being true and a supplement to the Bible. 2Jo 1:10-11; If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds. Clark gives a very interesting view of other doctrine. When ever a new doctrine is added to the existing Gospel, it becomes a transgression of the Gospel.

If there come any unto you – Under the character of an apostle or evangelist, to preach in your house; and bring not this doctrine, that Jesus is come in the flesh, and has died for the redemption of the world. Receive him not unto your house – Give him no entertainment as an evangelical teacher.
Let him not preach under your roof. Neither bid him God speed – é éé ͅ · And do not say, Health to him – do not salute him with Peace be to thee! The usual salutation among friends and those of the same religion in the east is, Salam aleekum, “Peace be to you;” which those of the same religion will use among themselves, but never to strangers, except in very rare cases. This is the case to the present day; and, from what John says here, it was a very ancient custom.
We have often seen that peace among the Hebrews comprehended every spiritual and temporal blessing. The words mean, according to the eastern use of them, “Have no religious connection with him, nor act towards him so as to induce others to believe you acknowledge him as a brother.”
The Bible is very specific on adding to or taking away from the truth of this Gospel that was delivered to us from God. Here are a few comparisons of the Bible and the doctrine of the L.D.S.

LDS.
1.We believe in the literal gathering of Israel and in the restoration of the Ten Tribes; that Zion (the New Jerusalem) will be built upon this the American continent; that Christ will reign personally upon the earth; and, that the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisaical glory.
The Bible, Response.
1.Luke 1:32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:; (The throne of David is in Jerusalem.) Zec 14:16 And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.(“all the nations which came against Jerusalem”

This also will include America for the Prophets have spoken it, in Scripture.) In Zec 14:17, we see that Israel, specifically Jerusalem, will be the center of Christ Reign and where He will rule the Nations. Zec 14:17; And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain. The Third Temple, The Throne and The Holy Place, are all located in Israel and not the United States.
Many, including myself believe that The United States, East Coast, is the Physical Babylon as described in revelations. Mar 13:14 But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains: Mat 24:15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

2. We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God. We believe that men will be punished for their own sins, and not for Adam’s transgression. (“as far as it is translated correctly.”
By whose’ standard?)( Do we believe that God would permit His word to be deluded so much in the last 2000+ Years?)
These prophets knew about Heavenly Father’s plan for His children and the mission of Jesus Christ. They recorded that Christ appeared, after His Resurrection, to the people in America, taught them His gospel, and formed His Church among them. The book contains the teachings of Jesus Christ, testifying of His Atonement and His love. It supports and verifies the Bible.
The Bibles response.
2.”we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God.” “It supports and verifies the Bible.” Rev 22:18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
Rev 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy,
God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. The Word of God needs no, support nor verification for its contents.
The Holy Spirit tells us what is Gods word and what isn’t. When we testify that something we say is supported by the Bible, then we must be ready to support our words with the Bible. Many of the teachings of the LDS, Have no scriptural basis.

Having a basis, in scripture, to what we preach and teach, is essential to all ministers of God, for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness: Gal 1:9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
Gal 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. The Book of Mormon is considered a gospel.
Gospel; The history of the birth, life, actions, death, resurrection, ascension and doctrines of Jesus Christ; or a revelation of the grace of God to fallen man through a mediator, including the character, actions, and doctrines of Christ, with the whole scheme of salvation, as revealed by Christ and his apostles. (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, are the Four Gospels.)
Gal 1:9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
LDS.
3.We believe that a man must be called of God, by prophecy, and by the laying on of hands by those who are in authority, to preach the Gospel and administer in the ordinances thereof.
The Bibles response.
3. Luke 10:1 After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come.

There is no where in Scripture that says that a man must be called by prophecy to preach. The bible says that ministers are called, appointed and sent. 1Ti 4:14 Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.
An important question arises here, to what the word “gift” refers; whether to natural endowment; to office; or to some supposed virtue which had been conferred by ordination. by prophecy that is, by the Holy Spirit, at his general ordination, or else consecration, to the special see of Ephesus, speaking through the prophets God’s will to give him the graces needed to qualify him for his work
(1Ti_1:18; Act_13:1-3).(JFB) Jer_23:32; Mat_9:38, Mat_10:1-6, Mat_28:18-20; Luk_10:1; Joh_20:21; Act_9:15; Act_13:2-4, Act_22:21; 1Co_12:28, 1Co_12:29; 2Co_5:18-20; Eph_3:8, Eph_4:11, Eph_4:12; 1Pe_1:12
LDS.
4.You lived with your Heavenly Father as one of His spirit children before you began your life on Earth. You were happy there, but God knew that you could not continue to progress unless you left Him for a time.
The Bibles response.
This belief has no Scriptural basis. Why would God send sons and daughters to earth, just to see them fall and sin, and be cast into Hell? This is contrary to the Nature of God.
Gen 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
Gen 3:19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

5.Throughout time, God has given His servants, the prophets, the authority to act in His name. This authority is called the priesthood. Jesus Christ gave the priesthood to His original Twelve Apostles, and they directed the work of His Church after Jesus ascended to heaven. But after the Apostles were killed, the priesthood gradually disappeared from the earth.(A false statement.)
The priesthood has two divisions. The lesser priesthood is called the Aaronic Priesthood, named after Aaron in the Old Testament. It includes the authority to preach the gospel of repentance and to baptize. The greater priesthood is called the Melchizedek Priesthood, named after Melchizedek in the Old Testament. It includes the authority to preside over the Church and to perform all ordinances, including giving the gift of the Holy Ghost.

In 1829 Joseph Smith received the priesthood authority to organize Christ’s Church. In 1830 the same Church of Jesus Christ that existed centuries ago was organized and restored to the earth. 1. Isa_9:7, 2. Deu_4:2, Deu_12:32; Pro_30:6; Mat_15:6-9, Mat_15:13
The Bibles response.
5. “In 1829 Joseph Smith received the priesthood authority to organize Christ’s Church.” The L.D.S. Doctrine is stating that the Church disappeared after the deaths of the Disciples, this is not Biblical nor true. They disregard all the ministers ordained by Jesus, there were more than the original 12, and by Paul, etc, And the other 70.
This is the Church of Jesus; Heb 12:23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, Eph 5:23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. This statement is contrary to all the Teachings of Christ and the Old and New Testament.
My Question would be; “When Did Christ Die?”. There is no other High Priest than Jesus. Heb 7:17 For he testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec. Heb 7:3 Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.
Psa 110:4 The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek. Heb 10:19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, Heb 10:20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;
Heb 10:21 And having an high priest over the house of God;Heb 8:1 Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;
Heb_5:10, Heb_6:20, Heb_7:3, Heb_7:15, Heb_7:17, Heb_7:21; Psa_110:4 This is just a quick look at the difference between the L.D.S and the Bible. ars References of LDS. From; http://www.mormon.org/welcome/0,6929,403-1,00.html
